Overall you have a great pack for different tones of single packs on this store. The folder structure is greatly improved since when I bought it year ago. Initially I was looking for something Mayerish and was tempted between Jon's pack and Choptones/Live Play Rock. However Choptones and Live Play Rock are just preset makers (soulless preset factories) and Jon actually plays his presets on his YouTube channel, he also gives a lot of useful information on his YT channel regarding tones and Fractal devices in general so he knows what he is doing. As Fremen for me is a trusted source of Pink Floyd presets (because he plays in Pink Floyd cover band and actually uses his presets), Jon is a trusted source of Mayer presets and he has also great Tone Matched amp packs.
For me Jon is the master of presets. This is a great pack for JM fans, but the other artists included sound fantastic as well. Good Job!
Not worth it. The product listing shows that you receive 36 presets, when there really are more like 27 with some presets that have multiple iterations. It would help if older versions were noted as such (or deleted entirely) and only the best, most recent version of the preset was included. However, the old versions definitely should not be counted as unique presets. In addition, the naming scheme is quite confusing. It would help to have some documentation about which bundle (or artist album) each preset file corresponds to and the song in each album that a scene is trying to replicate. There was no after-purchase support. After I submitted a negative review, however, the seller gave me an unsolicited partial refund. While I appreciate the gesture, I wish it didn't require a negative review to get his attention, and the reality is I'm more interested in helping a potential buyer evaluate a purchase decision by offering some information that I wish I had before I bought the bundle.
I’ve been following Jon for a while and tried creating some of the presets he’s been so kind to share on YouTube. They always sound great. I picked up the Fractal Bundle Pack because it just seemed everything he does is top notch and we like the same kind players. All of his presets are just really, really great. Well worth every penny and in fact it’s a great deal. If you are looking for tones from Mayer, Clapton, Jimi, etc. this bundle will definitely get you really close. Thank you Jon! Now i have more time to play versus spending hours trying to get a tone.
